Ugh.

So I was all packed, and I was like \o/

Then I thought. Hm. My bag is very large. I wonder how heavy it is.

My bag weighed 56 pounds. I was like O_O

So I checked Delta's website to see what they had to say on the matter:

You can check two bags per passenger free of charge.
Each bag must:
Weigh 50 pounds (22.5 kg) or less.
Not exceed 62 inches when you total length plus width plus height.

Oh, crap.

So I dug out my two smaller suitcases, removed the clothing that was being stored in them, and split my Very Large bag into two Average Sized bags.

One weighs 27 pounds, one weighs 28. And I am happy, for now I do not have to pay extra to get my costumes to Atlanta. \o/

I am also not tired at all. Or rather, I'm too tired. I have to get up in 4 hours and be at the train station in 5. I rather think I may be taking a catnap in the airport. :|

Heh. I had to pay extra coming home from D*Con last year. Amara and I are splitting our clothes and costumes between three bags for this purpose.

I have to leave my house in approximately... four hours... and I'm not finished packing yet. *look*

I am soooo sleeping on the plane.

When I came back from the KKPsi/TBS National Convention this summer my suitcase weighed 53lbs. JetBlue also has a 50lb limit, but the woman at the ticket counter said, "I don't feel like charging anyone extra today," so I didn't have to pay.

Have fun at Dragon Con! I wish I could go, but I've been to enough cons this year already...
