Neil so rocks. :)
He did a fabulous reading of Wolves in the Walls, which is quite hilarious, followed by a series of audience questions, previously collected and written on little blue index cards.
Q: What are you reading lately?
A: [looks down at the cards] Well, right now I'm reading a small stack of blue cards. I mean, seriously!
Q: Can we hug you?
A: Not right now, you can't.
Q: But why is the rum gone?
A: No, but why is the rum gone? Can you just imagine what it was like, when Johnny Depp came onto the set that day, and said he was going to play Capt. Jack Sparrow as Keith Richards? Stoned?
I thanked Neil yet again for being so awesome at Comic Con and signing for all of us. He commented on how much the con has grown in the past 7 years. I double checked names. It is not the sphinxes who have names, but the monkeybirds. They are all named Bob, except for Marshall.
And quite randomly, I met someone who lives across the street from me. Weird. I actually saw her on the train going in, just because she pulled out a copy of American Gods. Her name is Katie.
