Darn. So there is a brand new Borders on the way home from school. I stopped in yesterday to check out the place and to pick up the next couple of books in the series i've been reading. (The Myth-adventures of Skeeve and Aahz by Robert Asprin, if anyone cares) So, anyway, I went to the info desk to ask the most important question of all: Will this be a T-Mobile wireless zone? They assured me yes, of course it will be, and we believe it's even set up right now. To make a long story short (too late), I am currently sitting in the borders cafe, looking at my laptop that definitely says there is no wireless network. :( I asked the chickie at the cafe if there was going to be a network set up, and she said the guy was gonna be here either this afternoon or tomorrow. Which doesn't help me right now. :( But there is a really really cute little baby in here. :) That makes it all better. Well, that and I have a White valencia latte. Is white mocha, basically, with a shot of orange. yum. is also too bright in here. My eyes are getting sore. So I guess I'll drink my coffee, eat my cinnamon chip scone, look for a movie to watch with my 6th graders next week when everyone's away on vacation, and go to starbucks. maybe.
Yeah, so schedules next week are wacky. We have school on monday. Tuesday is Election Day. Since teachers don't have a contract, the board decided to prevent a job action by giving us the day off anyway. Teachers have a curriculum day on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are teachers' convention. Then, we have school on the next monday, and are off for Veterans' day. So, if the kids miss 2 days of school, the parents can take them on a 10-day vacation. Obviously, many of them are going. The kids who are staying are begging me to watch Holes. I read the book, and it was good (I <3 Louis Sachar (you MUST read "Sideways Stories from Wayside School" and the rest of the series. Keep in mind i first read it in 4th grade), but not as much as I <3 Hal Sparks.)
coffee coffee coffee coffee!
i now officially feel good. :)
Decided not to go to starbucks after all. that would cost MORE money.
