so today was the 25th anniversary of the cd. What was the first album you bought?

I got the Eagles Hell Freezes Over, Kenny Loggins' Return to Pooh Corner, and a country beatles cover album called Come Together. I got my first cd player freshman year- 1994, for those of you who're counting. :P

Hrm. Madonna, the one with Human Nature on it (can't remember the name), I think.

I'm dying to see your app come through. I'm sick of squibbing people and want to get to my friends so I know I get to read quality. :P

The first one I remember choosing and purchasing with my own money was Hanson's Middle of Nowhere. I was in middle school... and Mmmbop was at the top of the popular music scene.

I still have it. Brings up fond memories.

Okay, I'll be showing my age here *blush* My first album was "Meet the Beatles" and it wasn't a CD, it was one of those big 12" black vinyl things called a record. I saved up my allowance for a month to get it too. Talk about inflation!

My first CD was Simply Red's "Picture Book" with the song "Holding back the Years" which is still my most favorite song of all time.
