Um.

So for ~ the last week or so, my knee has been acting up. Wasn't so bad most of the time, just hurt when I knelt down to get things off the lower shelves at work.

Today, it won't bend really at all.

Crap.

It is definitely sore to the touch now- right above the kneecap. Hurts like hell if I try to bend it. Like, say, driving. :|

I am probably going to the doctor tomorrow.

:look

Just did some research.

I have runner's knee! \o/

Symptoms

Dull, aching pain under or around the front (anterior) of the kneecap-where the kneecap (patella) connects with the lower end of the thighbone (femur). It hurts to:

Go up or down stairs

Kneel

Squat

Sit with the knee bent for long periods of time

I may have a problem with the remedies, though...
Stop doing any activities that hurt the knee, and don't start again until you can do them without any pain.

Um. Am I supposed to not go to work, then?

Hey--that's kinda what happened to me when the doc said I had patella femora pain syndrom but it really wasn't!

Basically, start icing it now and keeping it elevated when you're hanging out at your house while taking some ibueprofin to keep the inflammation down. I didn't do that cause I didn't know, so it got so bad that my knee had built up scar tissue that had to be broken down before it would heal. GAH.

Feel better, dude, and stay off of it as much as you can. *snug*

Why, right knee, of course. It wouldn't be any fun if it weren't my dominant one. :|

Sorry to hear about your knee :( *Draws up a warm bath with chamomile, lavender, epsom salts, 10 drops of tea tree oil and 40 drops of lobelia* Now,soak in that as long as you'd like...The lobelia and epsom salts are supposed to ease aches, the tea tree is for any abrasions you might not know you had, and the chamomile and lavender are for relaxation :hug Hope you feel better soon!

And so I did. Course, they were invigoratingy aromatherapy minty/gingery salts. But they did fizz and make bubbles in the water. \o/

I so wouldn't have the patience to count out 40 drops...
